Mike Rohrkaste grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and attended Chaminade-Julienne Catholic High School, where he balanced academics, athletics and working through all four years. As a first-generation college student at Michigan State University, he graduated with a bachelors degree in social science in 1980 and a masters degree in labor and industrial relations in 1982.

Mike started his business career in human resources with Milwaukee’s Miller Brewing Company. He and his family settled in Neenah in 1994 when he joined Menasha Corporation and spent the next decade working his way up through various human resources leadership roles. In 2014, he retired as the executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Oshkosh Corporation, one of the Fox Valley’s largest employers.

With his wife of 32 years, Debbie, Mike has two sons; Erik, age 24, and Jakob, age 19.  They also have two dogs:  Bella and Oreo.

An active member of the Fox Valley community and Wisconsin, Mike currently serves on the board of the Samaritan Counseling Center of the Fox Valley and the Respite Care Association of Wisconsin. He is also a volunteer at Calvary Bible Church, St. Josephs Food Pantry, the Fox Cites Morning Rotary (member too), and has previously served on the boards of the YMCA Fox Cities and Fox Valley Christian Academy. He is an avid cyclist, hunter and scuba diver.
