Mike Rohrkaste for 55th

In my first term, I am proud to have passed 9 bipartisan bills!
With your vote we can continue this progress in my second term.

I will work to increase the take home pay of the hard working men and women of Wisconsin and ensure we do not burden our society with unnecessary government debt. I will promote more high paying jobs in our state; keeping and growing manufacturing jobs is key to a prosperous economy and opportunities for our families.

The foundation for long-term job creation is ensuring we have a strong education system at the elementary, high school, technical school, and college levels. As your assembly leader, I will give considerable attention to improving our education system so that our residents have the knowledge and training necessary to prosper.

We need state legislators who can work toward solutions that are good for everyone, regardless of party affiliation; we need to work together to ensure that Wisconsin continues to be an economic force in the upper Midwest and the nation.

“As a resident of Neenah for almost two decades while working for Menasha Corporation and Oshkosh Corporation, I understand how quality jobs are created and sustained in our communities,” said Rohrkaste. “In addition to my experience in the business world, I have witnessed what our local needs are in the areas of physical and mental health, child-care, and community interests through volunteer board service with the YMCA of the Fox Cities and Samaritan Counseling Center of the Fox Valley.”

Rohrkaste has an extensive background working to build consensus with people from a variety of professional and personal backgrounds. While in the legislature, Rohrkaste worked with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass meaningful legislation in areas such as healthcare and workforce development.

Rohrkaste’s campaign platform for the 55th Assembly District is straightforward and draws on expertise garnered from his career in business, volunteerism, and experience as a legislator:

  1. Government fiscal responsibility: working for tax reform and right-size government spending
  2. Grow the state economy: promoting and developing our manufacturing, tourism, service and dairy economic engines
  3. Goal-orientated education: making sure education meets the needs of the individual and the needs of the local economy
